THE AREA
A unique house for sale in lovely West Cork, Ireland

Past Bantry, you can drive to the Sheeps Head, Ballydehob and Mizen Head, passing the thriving sailing centre of Schull en route to picturesque Crookhaven, the superb beach at Barley Cove and Mizen Head itself, with its bridge, lighthouse, visitor and exhibition centres.

Driving east, but not towards the coast, in half an hour you will come to Gougane Barra National Park, a mossy wooded valley where the River Lea starts its journey to Cork Harbour.
Six miles (15 minutes) to the west is Glengarriff, with its sheltered harbour at the head of BantryBay. This is a wonderful cruising area, and we have a mooring here suitable for a boat up to 35 feet, which is also available. Glengarriff is famed for its sub-tropical gardens -

Beyond Glengarriff, you can drive onto the ruggedly beautiful

These photographs will give you a taste of the wonderful scenery which you will find in virtually every direction from the house, but we could show hundreds more equally beautiful views.
I am an artist, so if you would like to see a number of water colour paintings inspired by the West Cork countryside, including a couple of the house, have a look at my website, www.robertsartwork.net.
